Hi I'm Derek, a professional stained glass artist and I've been running my own studio since 1985. It's safe to say I've got lots of experience on everything to do with designing, making and conserving stained glass.
And I'm also a Fellow of the British Society of Master Glass Painters, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and an Accredited Glass Conservator.
Sometimes projects are large!
I was asked to design and make this new Tree of Life window for St. Mary's Church, Melton Mowbray, to celebrate the life and history of this UK market town. The window includes many themes associated with Melton, including its world famous Stilton cheese and Pork Pies!
And sometimes small!
Here is an example of a domestic front door panel designed on the theme of Inca art, for a private house.
